I have a choice of shoes. While I deliberately limit my shoes. I have one pair of dress shoes, one pair of dress boots, two pairs of every day shoes, one pair of snow boots, two pairs of sandals and a pair of slippers. I can choose what I put on my feet when I leave the house. I can choose what suits the weather, my outfit, and my mood.
I have the privilege of staying home with my children and taking care of all their needs every day. I am the one who teaches them their Bible, and listen to them learn to read, and show them how to keep a house. I am the one who intervenes when they fight with each other and don't get along. I am fulfilling my responsibility as a parent to raise a God-fearing child the best way I know how (with the help of God).
I have a mother who I love and admire and who is now (in my opinion, most importantly) my friend.
