The long discovery story can be shortened to this: The sediment in our unused water-softener overflowed and hit all the systems in our house and clogged all the lines.
We had no toilets, no sinks, and no showers. Talk about a sudden realization about the blessing of indoor plumbing. Tim got the toilets working and one sink. Then we called a plumber. Tim replaced all the valves in the toilets. The plumber came out and confirmed what happened and finished getting things running and made sure all was well. Turns out he is Christian. He saw our New King James Bibles and starting talking bible translations with Tim. We only had to pay 79 dollars for the visit which was a great deal less than I anticipated.
Blessings:
- a Christian plumber
- an inexpensive plumber
- the repairs were relatively easy for Tim to make
- and surely the greatest blessing beyond the difficulties and expense is that of having indoor plumbing in the first place.
